The Richmond Youth Basketball League (RYBL) Awards program assists students in transition from secondary school to college/university. The purpose of these awards is to support academically qualified students who are planning to pursue post secondary education. The scholarships are awarded to students who embody Richmond Youth Basketball League's mission: Someone who promotes self-esteem, friendship, cooperation, venues for community contribution and leadership opportunities within their community, while maintaining a strong commitment to their schooling.
The awards are open to students who will successfully complete the requirements for high school in British Columbia this year and are attending a post secondary institution within one calendar year upon receiving this award.
Value
RYBL awards are offered in denominations of $250 to $500 up to a maximum of $1500 annually.
Who should apply?
Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
1) A Canadian Citizen or permanent resident graduating from a British Columbia secondary school who is attending a post secondary institution next year.
2) Students who have demonstrated academic and leadership achievements in community, athletics, and school.
3) Must have been involved as a player, coach, employee, or volunteer

Deadline
The deadline to apply for this award is May 15, 2015.
RYBL reserves the right to decide if any or all of the awards will be disbursed in any given year.
